Our Slate Blue hair dye is a metallic blue shade with an icy edge. We recommend lightening your hair to a level 9 or 10 (blonde) by using our High-Lift Bleach Kit, before applying your dye. Lightening your hair will create the perfect base for the metallic pigments to show up in all of their vibrancy. You can apply the dye to darker hair, the results will be more of a tonal blue shimmer. Our customers are creating custom metallic shades by mixing Slate with Ice Mauve and Rose Gold. Add a smokey tint to Slate by mixing it with Graphite and Platinum.
