Sunscreen For The Face SPF 50 contains four broad-spectrum chemical sunscreen filters that safeguard against both UVA and UVB rays:

- Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, providing robust protection against UVA rays, free radicals, and skin damage.
- Ethylhexyl Triazone, an efficient and water-resistant UVB filter that absorbs a high percentage of the sun's rays, preventing them from reaching the skin and causing damage.
- Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, a broad-spectrum UV filter offering protection against both UVB and UVA II rays.
- Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid, delivering potent protection against UVB rays.

Chemical sunscreen filters shield by penetrating the skin's top layer, where they absorb a portion of UV radiation, preventing it from reaching the skin and causing damage.

This indicates that it has been tested to withstand water exposure for 4 x 20 minutes before needing reapplication, provided you air dry and do not towel dry. A sunscreen product can only be deemed very water-resistant if at least 50% of the sun protection factor is maintained after 4 x 20 minutes of water immersion.
