Our semi-permanent Burgundy hair dye is a rich purple-red shade that will satisfy even the most intense colour cravings. To achieve vivid dark purple hair, we recommend lightening your hair to level 9 or 10 (blonde) using our High Lift Bleach Kit before application. Lightening your hair will help you get the boldest results from your burgundy hair dye and really let the purple tones shine through. As this is a darker hair dye, it is suitable for direct application to level 8 (light brown) hair, but the results will be a more tonal shimmer of purple, which is more noticeable in the light. Our customers are creating their own custom burgundy shades by mixing with similar shades; Aubergine and Bordeaux.
